KIDS’ SKILLS place mat: 3 to 10 years old

The KIDS’ SKILLS place mat can be used for children aged 3 to 10. It was designed by Jocelyne Pouliot, a child specialist and columnist from Rimouski (Québec), in cooperation with Ben Furman, a famous psychiatrist from Finland. The place mat is available in French and in English. (12" x 18")

   

The KIDS’ SKILLS place mat can help children develop social, behavioural, motor and even language skills. By learning new skills, children can then overcome problems such as: shyness, low self-esteem, fears, anxiety, depression, aggression, opposition, impulsivity, hyperactivity, attention deficit disorders, etc.

With 4 pages of instructions and examples, the adult can guide the young child through a series of 10 steps that will help him discover his strengths and personal resources. Then, in order to further motivate the child, he will give him the opportunity to show his progress toward acquiring a new skill through the use of mini-stickers that are added on the treasure chest. (stickers included)

When the objective has been reached, the place mat printed on both sides can be laminated and used at mealtimes. Then, the child can go regularly over his success with his family and friends.
